GM Leather Industries has established a Compliance Management Team for the effectively monitor and conduct regular audits in connection to manage factory compliance on an ongoing basis. The Compliance Team maintains a safe, healthy and friendly work environment and takes effective steps to prevent potential accidents and injury to workers’ health arising out of, associated with, or occurring in the course of work at GM Leather.
Training is an important tool to GM Leather Industries as are its business sustainability goals achievement. GM Leather employs a system whereby all personnel will get training in hazard identification within the facility upon their induction, with refresher training every 6 months thereafter. At a minimum, this induction training includes awareness for all personnel on emergency preparedness, evacuation, basic use of fire extinguishers and use of relevant PPEs.
